The Fremont County Roller Derby (FCRD) team’s season is underway! The home opener is taking place on Saturday afternoon at the Riverton Fair Grounds. This year, the club features two teams – the Dino-Mite Junior Team, and the Red Canyon Rattleskaters adult team. On Saturday, the Dino-Mite juniors will appear first at 4 p.m. versus the Cheyenne Fronterrors and the Rattleskaters will compete against the Cheyenne Capidolls afterward at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday’s event is called the “Down The Rabbit Hole Brawls” to kick off the program’s first home bouts of the season. Saturday will also be the first time the Fremont County Roller Derby features their youth Dino-Mite squad. The junior division features athletes from ages 8-17 years old, and the adult division consists of skaters 18 years and up.

The FCRD program will host two more bouts this year – one later in June, and another in October. If you can’t attend this weekend, the Fremont County teams will face off with the Big Hole Brawlers on June 21. IFCRD will also host the Birthday Bash Mixer on October 25.
